Hello everyone, it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted a blog, I feel like a lot has happened since then, so I’ll fill you in.
The last time I posted one of these, we were flying to our first show in Manila. We had just wrapped up a very successful U.S. headlining tour (much appreciated), and were starting the first leg of our international touring schedule. We had a fantastic time playing in the Philippines and Australia and made some memories I’ll never forget. Since then we’ve been home spending time with our family and friends and taking the very first steps towards writing a new album. I’ve been building a bit of a home studio here in Arizona to start demoing the new songs and recording some new song ideas with my other bandmates.
We don’t have a ton of stuff written right there, but I think we have a pretty good idea of where we want to go with the new record. We’ve analyzed the things we’ve liked from both “Love Like This” and “Everything’s Fine,” identified some of the areas we think we can improve on, and talked about what new elements we want to bring in to keep things fresh and interesting.
I think we’re more excited to start the writing process for this album than any record in the past, just the five of us, in a house all summer, making noise. We hope you’re excited too.
